PayAPI™ Payment API - Easy to integrate,
lightweight API makes transactions fly
1. What is PayAPI?
PayAPI is a SOAP-based XML web service that allows software publishers to
add payment processing functionality to their software applications in compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). PayAPI is an extension of the PaymentVision payment gateway hosted by Autoscribe.
2. What is a payment gateway?
A payment gateway processes payment instructions and provides payment authorization and settlement services.
3. What type of payments can I process with PayAPI?
PayAPI can be used to
process one-time and recurring credit card, debit card and
ACH payments.
4. Can I process future dated payments using PayAPI?
Yes.
5. How do I know my payment data is secure?
Autoscribe secures payment data in compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS). Autoscribe is Service Provider Level 1 compliant, the highest level of compliance imposing the most stringent data security requirements upon service providers and payment gateway providers. On-going best practices are enforced by quarterly network security scans and annual On-site PCI Data Security Assessments performed by a third-party Qualified Security Assessor.
6. Do merchants need to be PCI-compliant?
Yes. PCI-DSS is required of all merchants and service providers that process, store, transmit or otherwise handle cardholder data.
7. How does PayAPI help me achieve PCI compliance as a merchant?
PayAPI removes the burden of storing bank account and credit card information by using a token substitute. The token allows you to store payment instructions without having to store actual credit card and bank account information.
8. What type of developer support does Autoscribe provide?
Autoscribe provides a test bed, project site, and administrative site where developers can view the results of their requests in real-time.
